Breconridge Bed and Breakfast near Bath.

We can only recommend staying with Julie and Jake! Within our 14 days holiday in the SouthWest of England, this was the friendliest House we found. We liked the room (really two rooms below the roof), we loved Sid visiting us and the breakfast room with view to the open sky is really gorgeous! In addition, whenever we had a problem or a question, both host were ready with help. If you like a personally led Bed and Breakfast (as we do), Breconridge B&B is perfect. And once again for all Austrian/German/Swiss visitors: Breconridge B&B ist einfach super - hier werdet ihr in bester englischer Tradition umsorgt!

Great hosts to a beautiful B&B and a friendly cat too! We had a great stay, very relaxing and warm welcome. Would love to stay again sometime in the not so distant future. Thanks again!

Without doubt, this Bed & Breakfast is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Julie & Jake are fantastic hosts and made the whole family extremely welcome. Everything about Breconridge is fantastic! We stayed over Valentines weekend and it was a perfect thing to do. The house is tidy and very clean, our room was a lovely size with great en-suite, and we even had freeview. Perfectly located just outside Bath, close to Longleat and many other attractions which we also visited. The breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and Julie & Jake are both very kind people. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we will definitely be back again for a lovely weekend. Sid the cat is adorable and very friendly.

Was like staying at a mates place, great bed and breakfast and travel tips.

As a place to stay for a couple of nights Breconridge with Julie and Jake comes highly recommended. We had a double room on effectively what is the ground floor. The room is small but very clean, well decorated and comfortable bed with adjacent on-suite shower, (no bath). Breakfast is served in the conservatory on a communal table with a view up to the back garden and consist of a fruit dish and cereals (inc. home mixed muesli) followed by a full English. As per previous reviews I would confirm that Julie and Jake's service is warm, friendly and helpful. They are both knowledgeable of the surrounding area and can give advice on local places to visit. Plans are afoot to extend the accommodation in the near future and this will be of interest to young families as the accommodation (and owners) are very much child friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a short stay.

Nothing too much trouble and best nights sleep!

I recently stayed at Breconridge with a friend to attend a wedding at nearby Priston Mill. And I'm so glad that we chose to stay here. We were greeted with a really friendly welcome and Julie and Jake made us feel so welcome for both the nights we stayed. The rooms are lovely; airy, modern and spacious and the beds are sooo comfortable - best nights sleep I've had in ages, really had to tear myself out in the mornings! Julie's breakfast was fantastic, freshly squeezed orange juice and homemade muesli that was just lovely. A full english complete with eggs exactly as you liked them if you wanted it too! We were lucky enough to have the entire family suite on the top floor, great if you have small children or you're staying as a party of 4 as the rooms are interconnecting and have their own shared bathroom. They're really nicely furnished with lovely wood floors and crisp white linen. Very fluffy towels and a bathroom that was super clean! The attention to detail is superb, there's even torches in case you want to walk to the local pub and will be returning down the country lanes in darkness. The comments in the visitors book tell you that you'll have a great stay with hosts that are genuinely interested in you having a lovely time. Julie and Jake pointed us in the direction of a nice local, gave us the number for a taxi firm and didn't even think it was odd when we asked if we could wash the car before the wedding (it was the wedding transport). Thanks for the fantastic stay, I would thoroughly recommend this B and B to anyone wanting to stay in the area. I'll definitely be back!!!

An absolutely fantastic stay. Julie and Jake are lovely welcoming people. My boyfriend and I along with 3 of our children stayed for 2 nights. Everything had a personal touch, down to gorgeous cute mugs for the children. We didn't want to leave! The rooms were spacious and immaculate, the bathroom huge and the food was excellent! Big thanks to them both, along with Sid the very comical cat, he amused us for hours!!!! Good luck to them, they deserve every success... we will be visiting in 2009!!!!! (The kids are demanding it!!!!!)

We stayed with Julie and Jake in their suite for the weekend while at a wedding at Priston Mill (which is located very nearby) and had a wonderful time. Myself, husband and 2 year old son couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. There was a box of toys waiting for our son in his room which kept him amused the whole time we were there! The food was home-cooked, the rooms were spotlessly clean and Julie and Jake were full of local knowledge which we found most helpful. I would recommend this B&B anytime and look forward to returning in the future.

My mother and I stayed for one night at Julie and Jake Cornwell's Bed and Breakfast. We regretted badly that we had not booked more nights as we enjoyed the stay and the surroundings very much. We highly recommend staying with Julie and Jake when visiting the surroundings in Bath/Bristol and other areas that are close to them. Their service of warmness, friendliness, helpfulness, kindness, and the cleanliness of rooms/bathrooms/ decoration of the rooms, the environment and views of open nature/hills as well as their home made breakfast are all outstanding. Julie and Jake themselves are also very good at advising on places to visit as well as giving directions to the various places that you can visit. I will without no doubt recommend this place to everyone that I know, and I will return to their bed and breakfast in the near future.
